Ahhh finished my Jumble project *sigh of relief*
Its not as detailed as the other two. I have basically 'jumbled' all my objects into my birdcage. Using blue ink and white pencil.

Jumble Final Piece 2
So, I have done my 2nd Jumble final piece, hooray!
I used brown ink on hardboard wood, and paint for the shadows and highlights.
The Illustration has a slight symmetrical touch to it which I think has made it most effective. I went for a mystical/fantasy theme, similar to my previous piece I posted.
There is no particular narrative behind this piece, as I wanted the audience to have as much interaction with it as possible.
I have posted a picture below!

Jumble Final Piece 1
So, here is my first 'Jumble' final piece done. (Only two more to go!).
To make the tree bark, I used the Jar that I chose as one of my interesting objects. All the other objects are integrated into the illustration by making it seem that the tree branches are wrapping around them. I have used each object as their usual role, except the rabbit spine, which I have simplified to transform into a 'ladder.'
Pictures are below! (Sorry about the quality - will get my SLR back up and running soooon!)

Jumble
I have recorded a sketchbook full of observations of my 10 items to get to understand the objects visually.
I have used a handcrafted sketchbook from Indonesia. I really love the paper, which is made from recycled paper and petals, although the paper was a bit too thick for my ink so I have used ranges of surfaces to stick in. The binding is made from banana tree bark and palm leaf string.
For my drawings I have used pitt pens, pencil, graphite, dip pen, rotring art pen, quink and bleach and fine tipped pens. These are my favourite media to work with although I will experiment with other media for my final pieces. I have put some pictures of my favourite pages below :

These are my 10 objects I chose for my university summer project :
A rabbit spine, a light bulb, 2 types of fir cone, mushroom ornament, old keys, bird cage, feathers, a celery jar, physallis leaves.
I have put a few of them below :

Commissions
I thought it would be a good idea to earn some commissions while over the summer holidays. I found out that I have to much work on my hands already, but here are three that I did manage to do!
Finally finding the motivation to start my blog!
So, I've finally decided that it's time to start my blog! I'm hoping by doing this I will be able to share with everyone my various portfolios from University, my interests and new influences that I find along my journey through being an Illustration student!
